ORPHEUS aims to safeguard the PhD as a research degree by supporting graduate schools, faculties, research students and their supervisors, through quality assurance mechanisms, advocation of best practices, professional development and training, Hacettepe University Health Sciences Institute doctoral programs awarded the ORPHEUS Label in 2018 and it has been announced that all students will graduate with the ORPHEUS label as of the 2018-19 fall semester. The requirements to graduate with the ORPHEUS label;

1. An article related to the thesis published or accepted in journals within the scope of SCI, SCI-Expanded, SSCI or AHCI, in which the doctoral student as the firstname.

2. An accepted article related to the thesis published/accepted in the journals included in the indexes to be determined by the Institute Board for a period of two years.

3. A submitted article related to the thesis in the journals included in the indexes to be determined by the Institute Board for a period of two years. Since 2018, 49 students graduated with the ORPHEUS label and 119 publications were published. Publication rate per thesis was 2,34.12 publications are covered by SCI, 83 are covered by SCI-E 33 publications were categorized in the Q1. 34 in the Q2, 15 in the Q3 and 17 in the Q4. Additionally, 4 patents were obtained. Graduating with the ORPHEUS label seems embraced by students and advisors. However, the development of research conditions in order to increase the number and quality of publications will be one of the main goals of our institute.
