Step 6. Final Registration

 

  • If the candidate has earned the right to final registration, they must apply to the Institute Student Affairs Office with the required documents on the dates specified in the Academic Calendar.
  • Documents required for final registration

1) Candidate Registration and Exam Entry Form

  • After the online application, the form generated by the system must be printed by the candidate and signed by the candidate.

2) Diploma or Graduation Certificate

  • For Master’s applications: one (1) bachelor’s graduation certificate (the original will be shown and a photocopy submitted; the barcoded document obtained from e-Government is also accepted).
  • For PhD applications: one (1) bachelor’s and one (1) master’s graduation certificate (the originals will be shown and photocopies submitted; the barcoded document obtained from e-Government is also accepted).

3) Transcript

  • For Master’s applications: one (1) bachelor’s transcript showing the graduation GPA (original document). (Transcripts without a wet signature or barcode will not be accepted; the barcoded document obtained from e-Government is also accepted.)
  • For PhD applications: one (1) bachelor’s transcript and one (1) master’s transcript showing the graduation GPAs (original documents). (Transcripts without a wet signature or barcode will not be accepted; the barcoded document obtained from e-Government is also accepted.)
  • Applications are processed according to the 100-point grading system.
  • If your transcript includes a grade already expressed on the 100-point scale determined by the issuing university, that grade will be accepted.
  • If the transcript is on the 4-point scale, the YÖK conversion table from the 4-point to the 100-point system will be used for conversion. Applications made with your own conversion or with conversion documents issued by your university other than the transcript will not be accepted.
  • Diploma Supplements will not be accepted as transcripts.

4) General Aptitude Exam Result Document (General Aptitude Exam Result Documents are valid for five (5) years from the date results are announced. YÖK decision on the validity of ALES–GRE–GMAT result documents.)

  • ALES Result Document: one (1) ALES Result Document showing that the scores specified in the General Aptitude and Foreign Language Scores Table have been achieved. (ÖSYM Exam Result Document)
  • GRE/GMAT Result Document: For applications made with GRE or GMAT, the score type conversions specified in the “GRE (139–170) – ALES” and “GMAT – ALES” tables will apply and will be used.
  • TUS Result Document:

For applications to Basic Medical Sciences, instead of ALES, submit one (1) TUS result document showing that at least 60 points have been obtained within the last five (5) years.

The Basic Medicine score is calculated as (0.7 × the standard score from TUS Basic Medical Sciences Test-1) + (0.3 × the standard score from the Clinical Medical Sciences Test), and the sum must be at least 60.

 

5) Foreign Language Exam Result Document (Foreign Language Exam Result Documents are valid for five (5) years from the date results are announced.)

  • YDS Result Document: one (1) YDS Result Document showing that the minimum required score or higher specified in the General Aptitude and Foreign Language Scores Table has been achieved.
  • Result documents from international exams listed in ÖSYM’s Foreign Language Exam Equivalency Directive and Equivalency Table (CPE, CAE, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic).
  • YÖKDİL exam result document. YÖKDİL and e-YÖKDİL scores are accepted as equivalent to YDS scores (per YÖK’s decision on YÖKDİL–YDS score equivalence).

Important note: On the printouts of the candidate’s General Aptitude Exam and Foreign Language Exam result documents, the candidate must write “I declare the accuracy of this document.” and sign.

 

6) Copy of Identity Card

  • A copy showing both sides of the identity card on a single page.

7) Photograph

  • Two (2) passport-size photographs.

8) TÖMER Certificate at least at C1 level (This document is required only from international applicants.)

 

9) Diploma Equivalency Certificate from YÖK (This document is required from international applicants and from Turkish citizens who graduated from a university other than via ÖSYM placement.)

 

10) Photocopy of Passport (This document is required only from international applicants.)

 

Important note: Except for non-thesis master’s programs, you cannot be enrolled in more than one graduate program at the same time. In addition, those continuing medical specialty training cannot apply to a doctoral program. Click here for the relevant YÖK decision.
